5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your being, and all your strength. 6 These words that I am commanding you today must always be on your minds. 7 Recite them to your children. Talk about them when you are sitting around your house and when you are out and about, when you are lying down and when you are getting up. 8 Tie them on your hand as a sign. They should be on your forehead as a symbol. 9 Write them on your house’s doorframes and on your city’s gates. (Deuteronomy 6.5-9 CEB)
I created these prayer stations for Association of Presbyterian Church Educators conference in San Jose. The theme was on Deuteronomy 6.5-9, but I also took the challenge of creating stations for 500 people on a very limited budget. Below are instructions and descriptions of each station as well as supply list and the amount I spent on materials for each station. Many churches do not have huge budgets, so I give you tips on how to set up stations on a minimum budget. You can view pics of the spirituality center here.
To set a contemplative and relaxing atmosphere, I played music from Stephen Iverson. He writes and plays simple and short taize-like music.

I had to change my plans to get to APCE and was upset the most at missing your spirituality center! Thanks for sharing!
Hello Theresa,
I feel as if I already know you because my Pastor, Rebecca Segers of Presbyterian Church of Sweet Hollow in Melville NY attended your Prayer Stations at the recent APCE conference and was so excited to share her experience when she returned home. It is my hope to meet you at the NEACE later this Spring!
