Tunnel of Love

I wrote in a previous post about the Presbyterian Youth Triennium, where I described how to construct a balloon ebenezer. Another activity the youth did in small groups was helping to create a tunnel of love, not THAT kind of tunnel of love. Since the theme for the conference centered around hearts, participants were asked to cut out a heart in whatever size and shape. On their heart, they were instructed to write a promise of how they would show love in the world.

Those hearts were used to build the tunnel of love.

Participants were invited to use big boxes to “build” a car that they could “drive” through the tunnel. As participants “drove” through the tunnel of love, they were able to read other promises inside and outside the tunnel.
